Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I’m reading my last book and I’m almost halfway through it. I’ll keep at it because I’d like to finish this goal. 3 years ago

3. Danielle Steel – No Greater Love—it was surprisingly excellent!

So, I started my 4th book: How to Train Your Dragon

Fun, and I think it’ll be a quick read! 3 years ago

2. Tony DiTerlizzi & Holly Black (co-authors): Spiderwick Chronicles book 1

Started my third book today, and I’m still trying to get into it. After all, I’m only 13 pages in. 3 years ago

1. Stephanie Meyer’s: Twilight

Currently reading, and almost finished with the first book in the Spiderwick Chronicles. It’s a VERY fast read, so I’ll finish that at lunch and likely start my third book (No Greater Love by Danielle Steel). I’m skeptical about her for some reason, but she’s written so many bestsellers and I have 5 of her books that were given to me, so I thought I’d give her a chance. If I hate this book, I’ll get rid of the rest of hers and donate them to the library and free up some precious shelf space! 3 years ago

hollymoose78changing this goal

For whatever reason, I didn’t feel like doing the classic novels right now, so I’m reading from authors I’ve never read from before.

Currently (I think I’m the last one on the planet to do so), I’m reading Twilight (and loving it, I must say).

I’m thinking I’ll read (in no particular): How to Train Your Dragon, Percy Jackson, a Danielle Steele book, and Eragon. I know, one of these things is not like the others… :) 3 years ago
