...upon further perusal of my shots from the other night (had trouble loading all images into slideshow mode to view….), i came across one more night image that turned out kinda cool….
I have long wanted to capture some evening / twilight photos of this Gothic church thats just a few blocks from me,,,,i pass it everytime i’m driving home. It is particularly striking in October, when the sun starts setting directly behind it in the sky, and the view at sunset is quite striking. I hoping this fall i’ll finally be able to capture that scene with new SLR….
However, i couldnt resist a few shots the other night, just to test how well it would show up with a 1600 ISO. I rather liked the “surrealness” of how this particular shot came out…

in my continued playing with my new toy (ahem), i’ve discovered the pleasures of actually being able to take a decent photograph at night. My camera has a adjustable ISO setting, so i could just switch it up to 1600 ISO and capture some of the beauty of the full orange moon over the downtown Cincy area last night. Granted , i could use a more telescopic lens,,,,but its was still a pic i never could Begin to capture with my previous lame cameras…..

boy has it been fun to endulge myself photographically with the new camera—instant capturing, instant results, instant adjusting for image i want, total freedom of indulgence to whatever catches my whim…
:D
here’s a pic i snagged from a bathroom wall, that i never would have attempted with my film camera. (and yes,,,, i took pictures in a public bathroom ~ Artistic License !) Actually, i was reading all the intriguing colorful graffiti,,,and it suddenly dawned on me: “Hey! i’ve got a digital camera in my bookbag ! I could just photograph all this cool schtuff—!!

O! how i have lusted for thee !!
despite not yet job, no savings or any reasonable financial sense,,,,i just finally got fed up with the whole “hey pal, can you come over & take digital pic of something i want to post right away?’ and ‘man, i wish i could capture this moment and view it instantly’ and ‘as much as i love film, i hate this continual lag-time between photographing & having the $$$ to develop & post’ Thangs…
Thusly, i pulled out ye olde Dell preferred customer account(that i had paid off in full before leaving my last job) out, searched the catalogue, & click – click – click,,,,ordered what i wanted, along with the necessary accessories, and it t’was upon my doorstep in about 47hrs….
= D !!
Next trick: unpack the durn thang & figure out how to actually USE it —!!
