So I took my first stretching class last night and it was a total dissapointment. YUK.
Partner Stretching = GETYOURFACEOUTOFMYPUSSYANDLETGOOFMYKNEESIDON’TKNOWYOU.
No tips, no information. Just a $18 class of stretching. FUCK THIS SHIT. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME and MONEY!
HOWever,instead of giving into my angry ways, I somehow managed to send the teacher a bubbly note asking for information and routines and stuff. ack. I hope she comes through for me. 6 months ago


Mamby PambyCLASS!

I just couldn’t take it anymore. The routine I was doing was boring, the disco music blaring at me from outside my earbuds was irritating, and I wasn’t seeing results.
SOOOO, Starting in a few weeks, I’m taking a one month course at Bumbershoots in flexibility. I’ve heard from my pole instructors that it would help me and I’ve decided that I need help. I quit pole class. Hopefully, only temporarily. This second job and my dissapointment in my weight gain really threw me off my drive for pole dancing. PLUS, I don’t like the classes she put me in. One is really nice, but WAY advanced for me and one is my speed but DAMN I HATE those bitches. SeRIOUSLY. So, I STILL want to be more flexible because it’ll serve me in many endeavors and I’m hoping to see some results in a month that spurs me on to finally get some sort of splits and a decent toe point. 7 months ago

I stretch 4 days a week at lunch, and about 3 nights a week at home and I’m seeing no real results. I guess I should try to stretch 14 TIMES a week, even if it’s sometimes 3X/day and none the next. I’ll be ok. 14 months ago

I’m not making much progress, but I just got my pole a few weeks ago and I’ve been stretching twice a day on some days and NONE on others. I think if I stretch every day, and twice a day a few times a week, I will see definite difference in a few months. Just guessing. 15 months ago

I could be wrong, and I’ll definitely be ok with it, but I suspect that I’ll have the side splits, on the left side, in ONE month. I feel like I’m making tiny little advancements every other day…maybe it’s only a fraction of an inch, and I don’t have a way of measureing, exactly, but I FEEL like these tiny incremental advancements are happening, are significant in the scheme of the overall picture, and are definitely worth loving and rejoicing about. 18 months ago

I’ve made BETTER progress…weird.
I am,I guess, around 4 inches from the floor on side splits, maybe even just three inches, and that’s WAY better than a month ago. huh.cool! 18 months ago


Mamby Pambybetter!

I’ve made TINY progress, but it’s PROGRESS, and it’s been really ENJOYABLE and NOT torturous. Sort of like I work out in the morning. I say “just lift something light and get toned or loose. You DON’T have to BUILD MUSCLE today” and then, I get a decent workout in and feel great. Same with stretching. I say “Hey, this kindof hurts. I think I’ll back off because I don’t CARE if I see progress TODAY, exactly. I’ll see it later!” and I back off of the stretch, relax, and usually surprise myself with a deeper stretch. I now stretch twice a day..in the morning with my weights, and in the afternoon for lunch. I even stretched tonight, Saturday, when I was depressed about the cash for houses guy, and stretching made me feel GREAT! 18 months ago
