Winnie the Pooh
I know, I know it’s a children’s book, but it’s still a delightful one and it’s on my list of top 100 books to read. 6 months ago

I need to discuss what I just read. I’m on page 126 (the beginning of the section on Automation). I had no problems with the Definition section or most parts of the Elimination section. But I find some parts in Elimination quite disturbing (such as not reading the news, which I find offensive on humanitarian grounds).
Mostly, however, this book is fascinating and a lot of its rules and examples are things I already implement in real life.
PS. I’m on page 112 in The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, by Douglas Adams. His sense of humour really brightens my day. DS 10 months ago
Life has generally been very eventful in the past few weeks so reading has taken a backseat during that time. Today, I opened the windows to my bedroom and had a semi-indoor picnic on my be, reading the book, ‘4-Hour Workweek’. I’ve only reached page 80 but I’ve already discovered that what I apply in my mentorship programme (where I mentor AIESECers from different parts of the world) was covered in the first 80 pages of the book (especially the pages 60-80, regarding dreamlining, a type of workplan for your personal life).
This book, although it has its flaws, is at the least, thought-provoking. To some people (especially those who decide to postpone or ignore their personal dreams and aspirations), the book might either be too controversial or surprisingly eye-opening. 10 months ago
10) This Child Will Be Great (9/10)
This book was great. It is the autobiography of Ellen surlief Johnson, the first female president in Liberia and in all of Africa. 10 months ago
Reached page 60. The book has some convincing arguments, mostly focusing on the beauty of taking action. 11 months ago
I’ve reached Chapter XVI and some interesting details are starting to unsurface. Reading before sleep is a comfortable way of ending most days, I have discovered. 11 months ago
I forgot to say that I am also reading “Jane Eyre” by Charlote Brontë. The book is available for free on my HTC Desire HD (legally of course), and I am already on Chapter XIV.
I’ll provide a review once the book is complete. I’m liking it so far.

Felt extremely sick this morning and I am still resting in bed. I was, however, able to build up some energy to read the first 40 pages of the 4-Hour Workweek.
Is anyone else reading the book or has read it? If so, I would love to connect with you about it.
Let me know.
Best Regards,

The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, by Douglas Adams:
This book is a gift from a great friend, who always supports me and makes me smile when times get tough. He knew that I loved the Hitchhiker’s Trilogy and wanted to surprise me with some new books. I received this book (and another one) by mail a few months ago, but started reading it properly only a few weeks ago. Adams has always had a querky way of describing life that is relatable and thought-provoking. I can say the same thing about my friend.
The Four-Hour Workweek, by Timothy Ferriss:
I am not convinced that this will be the miracle remedy that everyone in the media builds it up to be. My boss at Hjärna.Hjärta.Cash is the only one so far in my immediate proximity that has openly warned people about forgetting their critical thinking with regards to the Four-Hour Workweek. Although I will be intentionally skeptical, I would be more than glad if this book proved me wrong about my hesitation. 11 months ago

I’ve now read 10 books and it only took me 5 months to complete. The speed of getting this complete was probably helped by the fact that I am currently unemployed and have plenty of time in between job searches to read a few books.
I’m going to complete this goal and then create another one to read 25 books in 2012. I’ll be including the 10 that I’ve already read this year.
Book read:
Alices’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass – Lewis Carol 12 months ago
I’ve started reading:
1. Eleven – Mark Watson
2. Kiss me like a stranger – Gene Wilder
3. The potato factory – Bryce Courtenay 12 months ago
