I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You – U2 (made popular by UB40 but originally done by Elvis)
One – Johnny Casy (original by U2)
Hand On Your Heart – Jose Gonzales (original by Kylie Minouge)
When Doves Cry – Barenaked Ladies (original by Prince)
adding some interesting ones:
Candy covered by Holiday

Are Friends Electric covered by Moloko
Money Honey covered by Elvis Presley
Much goodness in finding coversongs and remixes. I’m a big fan of the Punk remixes of 80’s songs, although a nice remix to make it dancable makes it fun.
It’s always personal taste for what’s the “best ever”, but has anyone heard “When Doves Cry” redone by Ani DiFranco or “Bohemian Rhapsody” by the Mexican Band Molotov? They’re worth looking into.
Also: “That’s When I Reach for My Revolver” – Moby, “The Ghost of Tom Joad” – Rage Against the Machine and on the weird side “Common People” – William Shatner. Just some ideas.

I guess I just don’t pay that much attention to covers to know what the “best” would be. I’ve got a few favorites is all. Time to give up.
1 – Peace Frog
2 – I Wanna Be Sedated – Ramones song covered by The Offspring
3 – Superstition – Stevie Wonder song covered by Stevie Ray Vaughan – thanks elliekay :-)
