I have had people tell me what they wished created, and when I am done, they pay me. But I have yet to have people buy what I have created, what I have made. It gets to the point where I end up giving it away because I no longer have the space for the art (to make room for new art).
It would help me a lot if I could get a portfolio together, but I am unsure as to how anymore (my last one I showed at PAX got me some business cards and awesome stories about WhiteWolf’s Omar, but that’s about it).
Enough people tell me “Your art is amazing!”, so I don’t believe it arrogant of me to make art for some profit.
So, what does it take for the masses to buy it? Sheesh.
- Peace.

I’ve been in to photography for a matter of years now . the past few months i’ve gotten up my own website (caitlinjimenezgallery.com) and I keep the site fairly updated . my photography is up for sale on my site and i have yet to make a sale ! I know its only been a few months and sometimes things take a little while but i really want to make a profit from my hard work . not just so i could be rich or anything but just so i could buy more art supplies and keep creating .

If you’re one of those people who think that nobody would pay money for your art, well I’m here to tell you that I was where you are now. It takes courage to put your art ‘out there’ it is a very personal thing and not everyone will think that your art is worth “that price” but stick to your guns, you’ve put your heart and much of your soul into your creation!
As luck would have it, I made about $200 by putting my work into a show reciently. In addition I have my work in a gallery here in my town. And since I work there I can hear what people say about my art(they don’t know my name when they come in).
