I totally did this goal and it made my year so much more fun and exciting! I wish I had taken the time to actually write about the fun things we’ve done this year so that we’d have it to look back on. Maybe I’ll get my bf to help me remember some of it- it was a good year! 4 months ago

Last weekend my boyfriend talked me into seeing For Greater Glory and I am so glad he did- I can’t wait to see it again! It’s one of those movies that leaves you feeling like it has changed your life for the better. This is the trailer!!! http://www.fandango.com/movie-trailer/forgreaterglory-trailer/152952/2213421435
Synopsis:“The Cristero War serves as the backdrop of this historical drama following a group of devoted Mexican patriots who risk their lives to defeat an oppressive regime, and defend the freedom of future generations. Andy Garcia, Oscar Isaac, Eva Longoria, and Peter O’Toole star.”
For Greater Glory was cinematically breathtaking and it was a moving example of courage and faith that is really rare to see on the big screen- especially when it is based on true events. Because it is considered “too Christian” the critics have been negative but all the fans say “MUST GO!” I don’t know why it has gotten heat for this because it is a historical event and so the example of this oppression is sort of a microcosm of the macrocosm. No one accuses holocaust movies of being too Jewish- that would be ridiculous and yet that is the basis of much of the criticism this movie has received.
This movie is a dark horse, beating out Hunger Games in its opening weekend and just making it into the list of TOP TEN box office movies, despite unfairly critical reviews and showing in only a little over half the number of theaters of any other film in the top 10! I hope a lot more people get to see this amazing movie and support it, because it has such an inspiring message :) 11 months ago

In March I did end up surprising my boyfriend with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration a week early by enjoying his favorite Irish Folk band! These guys were so talented and they had everyone on their feet by the end of the night. We had a real blast with good people, good food, and yes- good beer :)My only regret is that I didn’t smuggle out some of those Irish potatoes because those little things were yummy!
In April we went to visit a family member in New York near West Point. It was so beautiful out there and we got to take some memorable walks together while we were there that I won’t soon forget :) We also went to T.O.T. again and the guest speaker’s story really spoke volumes to me.
Now I wonder what fun May will hold… 12 months ago

So… In January my Boyfriend and I went ice skating and went to Theology on Tap which was fun :)
February was the month we finally hit the dance floor. We learned how to do the West Coast Swing and we both really enjoyed ourselves and want to do it again!
For March I am thinking of surprising him with an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration by enjoying his favorite Irish Folk band that’ll be playing this weekend and there will be good food I think too :) 14 months ago
