I had the opportunity to take the Edinburgh to London a few weeks ago. While settling myself into my cabin for the night, I started to read the welcome leaflet. I had to read it again about the room service as couldn’t believe it. I’d been too quick to wonder what I could order that I missed the part that said room service was available to first class passangers only ;0(
How awesome would that have been? Room service on the sleeper! I did get my wake up call at the requested hour with a cup of tea and a breakfast box but I’m not counting that as room service.
It was a work stay so all paid for. And room service and all food included in the price of the room. So I indulged: Ordered sushi one night, traditional equatorian potato soup another evening. It was great to eat in the king sized bed with dozens of pillows in front of the telly :-P
Well, my vacation’s come and gone, and here’s the news: I didn’t get to order room service after all. There were many reasons for this:
(1) Menu prices were rather steep.
(2) Menu choices weren’t very appetising.
(3) Was always bloated with food.
(4) There wasn’t enough time.
But oh well. Maybe next time eh?
I was being super greedy, but it was my first chance at ordering room service even though I was full from supper. I fell asleep waiting for the food to arrive and I barely ate it once it came, but whatever it was fun!
i stayed at the sheraton and could have done this, but I didn’t. Now I’m kicking myself.
I’ll be going on a holiday with my family soon, and we’ll be staying at a hotel, which means this will probably be my only opportunity to order room service for the next few months to come. I know it’s gonna be expensive, but I have a little extra to splurge this time, and I’m gonna try to order room service!
that means I’m in a nice hotel – lazy enough to eat a meal in the room!
