My friend told me one day, “You have to go golfing with me on Saturday!” I told him he was crazy because golf is stupid. He said, “No, you have to, there is a good looking girl there and she is really cool and she won’t go out with me” So we went golfing on Saturday and when I saw the beverage cart girl he was talking about, my mouth dropped. I got a Sprite and her phone number, dated her for a year, was engaged for three months, and yesterday we celebrated our 8th anniversary!

My sister married us on my parents’ farm in Michigan on October 8th, 2005. We wrote the ceremony and made the invitations, decorations, and reception food ourselves. It was wonderful.
