help others

There is nothing more fulfilling in life than becoming a volunteer for an organization that you believe in!!! Not only is this a great resume builder but it gives you such a sense of happiness and satisfaction.

i am leaving for Botswana in 6 days to work with children in the SOS Children’s Village that have been or have HIV/ AIDS.

Yesterday I found out that a classmate of mine just went through a horrible miscarriage and her husband wasn’t there for her. Not only that she thinks it is time to get divorced. I feel so bad for her because she has a two year old and she wants to be strong for her but at the same time she is going through so much herself. I offered her my listening ear and I also have a few contacts with a women’s shelter so I can help her out there too.

Are there any woman who have overcome a similar situation that can help me help my classmate?

i know it’s nothing drastic, but if everyone helped at least one person in a positive way everyday, that would be drastic, not to mention how much everyone would appreciate it.

I guess we all like helping others. It means we have friendships. More money if its for business purposes. And we feel good even if we get little response. One big reason is most of us believe a higher power wants us to help others, its as if that’s what we are here for. Even if we are loners and photgraphing the wildernes, we are helping others see a different part of the world.

I am writng a report on ways to find new friends or future partner that has the interests we want them to have.

I want to build into others the skills, resources and experiences that others have opened up for me. I need to ask others, ‘is there anything that I can do for you?’ I must avoid seeing what I can get out of a situation.

I wanted to join the Peace Corps but I owe too much on my credit cards so I want to start helping others at home
