How to learn ASP.NET

 "Learning .NET is simple. Getting used to the event model and object oriented nature of pages is what takes time. Never looking back!"
How I did it: I started a new position in Orlando where I was writing old, legacy code when I was asked to help on an ASP.NET project. I then learned everything I could and jumped right in and worked with the Enterprise Framework and AJAX toolkit. From there it was only a matter of time before I was writing brand new pages from the ground up for the next project. Lessons & tips: Books and tutorials can only teach you so much. Just dive in and work on something you can be passionate about, and the rest will come easily. Resources: The Books 24x7 site was great for gearing up and reading all the material I could before starting work. Really, though, your manager and coworkers are probably the best resource you can have.

Started at my new job back in Orlando, and I’ve read at least one .NET book and have scheduled some training in July that will get me onto a .NET project within the company.
