Me and Juniper
down after going out last weekend to the movies, but has since decided to keep it up. It really is important for me to remember that for my sanity I need to leave the house once in a while. To shower, to dress, and heaven forbid, even put on makeup. When I get a chance to go out I come home a better mother, ready to do it all again the next day.
My sister who is living with us took me and the girls to a neighborhood corn maze. I have never been to one and it was a bunch of fun. This one is haunted but it’s spook-free Monday nights. Not that I wouldn’t have enjoyed a good scare, but I didn’t want my girls to freak out. They only thing that has scared them to date is loud unexpected noises and I didn’t want to risk it.
We had just enough light left and the rain waited to come back till after we left. I think the girls had fun. Will do again next year!

finally went into Town on Saturday night, like all the cool kids do. it was pretty shit, to be honest, i don’t know what all the fuss is. according to a good friend i spent most of the night with, it was just an abnormally bad and quiet night. i have a skill for turning up on abnormally bad nights.
i’m planning on going again, but this time
- i’m either not going to drink, or i’m going to get drunk. it won’t work if i don’t drink the right amount.
- i’m going to wear clothes i’m comfortable with, rather than the skirt i hate with heels.
- i’m going to relax into it and be myself
- i’m definitely not going to end up in any shit. somehow managed to end up with two random girls i’ve never met in my life starting on me. it was scary, to be honest, and i have no idea what happened- i thought they were going to hit me or something.
worth doing? probably. enjoyable? not particularly. but hey. remember kids, “it’s what you make it”.
[whoever said that can fuck right off.]
