take music lessons

I’m so excited to be taking piano lessons next week. When my sisters and I were 9-12 years old, we begged for piano lessons. (I understand this is unusual.) Long story short, we had lessons for a few years, but between forced recitals and our mother’s headaches from our constant playing (like I said, unusual), we abandoned the piano, and I’ve felt forlorn ever since. Now, I am making time to make my childhood dream come true. I’m also taking classes in music theory to fill in the blanks (because we were only taught how to play, not what it all meant). I love adulthood.
