I know people are different and I know a lot who moved here loves this place. I really, really, really wanna get out of here a.s.a.p! I’m not really too crazy about the casinos and the strip. I hate the heat and the desert. Game plan I guess is to save for 6 months and just keep on looking for a job first. I don’t know and I’ve never been to Denver but I feel like I need to live near the mountains and a place with four seasons. I love the outdoor stuff. I will make this happen even if people think I’m crazy.
How to move to Denver
How I did it: i visited denver in august and liked it. i had a few friends who were living there and we had fun. about a month after that i just decided to move. i bought a plane ticket, sold all my stuff, broke my lease, and packed everything into two suitcases. and here i am! but im leaving soon. im moving into the rockies for the summer and then im off to new york. denvers just not my town.
Lessons & tips: - save up a little money first. denver is pretty cheap, but the job market is a little rough right now. i was out of work for almost 3 months, but luckily i was living in a place with supersupersuper cheap rent.
Resources: SAME CAFE!! this place is awesome. it is between race and vine on colfax. it is a volunteer/donation based restaurant with amazing food. lots of young people hang out here and most of them are pretty amazing. the owners are some of the best people alive.

So, I have done extensive research and REALLY want to move to Denver. I have a decent amount of money saved but no place to live or no job. I mainly want to move to the Denver area to live, work part time, and go to school and enjoy life. As of right now I am 21 with no degree and little college experience. Think I can make it happen?? Just how scarce are jobs?
Tryche is screwing around instead of working...LOL
Hi…moving to Denver…not until 2011 but planning is everything. Can anybody give me hints about decent apartment communities? I was planning on getting a shephard or husky but I’ve heard so many apartments complexes don’t accept large dog breeds :(
Thank you!
Come this April we are packing our bags and heading west. Time for change! I have lived in FL all of my life. My freinds and I are thinking Denver is the place for us, Capitol hill. Anyone with any information or suggestions?? We are trying to pull it off with just three months time. From a place to live to jobs. We are all in the bar biz. Help?!?
I’ve been in NY for almost 6 years and need to get back west – I miss the mountains! Denver is my top choice, but I’d love to hear if people have comparisons between that and Portland or Seattle…
My wife and I just got back from our fourth trip to RMNP and this time we’ve decided that it might be time to give up Seattle for Denver.
I decided after some thinking Denver is just not the place for me. I am still in love with my city Boston and if I do move it will definately be for warmer weather.
my husband got the fellowship he applied for last october and now we’ll be leaving expensive so cal for the mile high city. from the beach to the mountains and we’re so looking forward to the new landscape.
