"glad i wasnt in florida, but i know denvers wrong for me."
How I did it: i visited denver in august and liked it. i had a few friends who were living there and we had fun. about a month after that i just decided to move. i bought a plane ticket, sold all my stuff, broke my lease, and packed everything into two suitcases. and here i am! but im leaving soon. im moving into the rockies for the summer and then im off to new york. denvers just not my town.
Lessons & tips: - save up a little money first. denver is pretty cheap, but the job market is a little rough right now. i was out of work for almost 3 months, but luckily i was living in a place with supersupersuper cheap rent.
- move during the spring or summer. its hard to get settled and meet people when its so cold out. the summers here are supposed to be awesome.
- live near downtown. its easy to get around and there are so many places to go and things to do near downtown. cap hill and 5 points are pretty cheap places to live.
Resources: SAME CAFE!! this place is awesome. it is between race and vine on colfax. it is a volunteer/donation based restaurant with amazing food. lots of young people hang out here and most of them are pretty amazing. the owners are some of the best people alive.
