Ride bicycle to work at least once a month 7 months ago

I’ve tried it once.
It’s not too bad. It took me ~ 35-40 minutes to get to work while driving would take me 15 to 25 minutes with traffic lights.
But it’s getting cold and day is shorter.
... mm…

I got up and went for a long walk. Over an hour. That’s a big step for me.

So this quarter for school, I signed up for an aerobics class two days a week and have been swimming afterwards. I am also starting to go rockclimbing and have been walking more as well. It all still feels forced but I am slowly realizing how much better my day is if I work out :)

I’m also keeping up in class, cooking, doing a research assistant position on campus, annnd enjoying life!

Gotta keep movin…

So far so good! I have gone to the gym for three days in a row now. Lets see if I can keep this going!! Surprisingly though, now that i’ve started going at the same time everyday it seems harder to not go than to go. I feel the endorphins kicking in too :)

Also, when the rock wall opens at my gym after new years, I am going to do the belaying clinic with my boyfriend and start rock climbing as a workout too!

And swimming :) Gotta have the full body workout…

change my lazy lifestyle 19 months ago

I want to start working out and get into a routine that will work indefinitely. Whether it be going on walks or situps and pushups in my room, I NEED to start being more active. All I do is bike for a total of 20-30 minutes a day and I can feel my body weakening as a result of sitting around.

Starting when finals are over, to ease myself into it:
Walk somewhere once a day (class, boyfriends house, the beach, etc)
50 situps and 10 pushups once a day
Have good posture!

Once I have mastered that…I will start going to the gym.

Other things in life 19 months ago

I’ve been active today. Not as I planned but anyway. I was at school from 9am to 6pm. And then I saw my friend, and after that went to dinner with my other friend. And it was fun!:) But now I’m soooooooo tired:) I can’t wait to go to bed:) Bu that’s how it is if you’re active I guess;)

OK, this plan of mine…too much! I decided to make a new one (after a long talk with my friend):). My plan is:
MONDAY: running, bouldering
TUESDAY: swimming
WEDNESDAY: running, bouldering
THURSDAY: a break – running (if i feel like it, or if I didn’t do it on wednesday)
FRIDAY: running, yoga, walking, fitness – something!
SATURDAY: running, yoga, fitness (snowboarding, climbing…)
SUNDAY: running, yoga, fitness (snowboarding, climbing…)
Well, it’s an improvement. At least I hope so.
Note: on days, where there is more than one activity – I can just pick one and do it, without feeling bad about not doing it all.:)

Don’t forget to meditate in the morning! (I forgot today):/

I also need to concentrate more on other goals – school, activism, relationships… That’s all about being active too – isn’t it?!:)
