Road Trip Across the USA 4 months ago

I want to take a road trip across the USA with a bunch of people and stop and explore. Would like to do it relatively cheaply, by sharing rooms, etc.
Would be a great opportunity to make life long friends and make a dream come true.
I hope there are others out thre who would love to do this.
I live in Florida.
Take Care

this is an awesome idea me and my friends plan on doing it as soon as were out of high school. Were going to hit all 50 baby count on it!

I want to see this country. 19 months ago

I would really like to travel and what better place to start then in my own country. I would like to pack up the car (or RV if my parents will let me take it) grab my camera and hit the road. * sigh * I guess it will have to wait until I don’t have school or work and have enough money. Someday.

Monterey - Melbourne 23 months ago

My husband and I have driven from California to Iowa and back for Christmas 2005 and from California to Florida last spring.
Both trips were wonderful experiences of a great country. You never know how big it really is before you start traveling.

It was a fantastic experience, driving across America (old Route 66) from Baltimore to Palo Alto in the summer of ‘81. I’d left my home town London to work as a counsellor at a camp for disabled kids in Thompson Pennsylvania and met and fell in love with Mieke from Zwolle. After camp, four of us (Mieke, her girfriend Annemies, and her newlyfound boyfriend Howard from Arcata California) headed west in a Dodge Dart that we had to deliver to its owner. It could have been a disaster but it was the most exhilarating experience I’ve ever had. Would recommend it to anyone. Don’t stay too long in one-horse towns though, the ghost of Easy Rider is still alive and kicking.

Celebrated my 21st and met the love of my life 3 years ago

My best friend and I drove across country with 2 guys we met at a Grateful Dead show..it was soo much fun-took us about 3-4days to get to San Fran, Cali-just in time for me to celebrate my 21st birthday. BEST TIME EVER! An the drive home we went the south route (took north the way there) and it was so amazing, esp the Grand Canyon—how breathtaking!

American dreaming 4 years ago

I loved it… but I found that I have a preference for BIG CITIES. I dreamt of staying in sleepy hollows, but that turned out to be nothing for me. :)
