So I went to taekwondo club last night, which is a student organization on campus. I hadn’t been able to make it any other week, but i’m going to try to for now on.
I learned so much! in class usually it’s just boring repitition of things i already know! in the club we did alot of interesting combinations i’ve never tried before, and i was introduced to spin kicks! we also worked heavily on technique and breaking the kicks down to perfect them.
but the spin kicks i’ve never done before and so i had to get some direct help and after two hours of demonstration and practice practice practice, finally got the spin hook kicks down and am on my way with the spin outer cresent kicks! exciting!
but my feet are heavily blistered on the toes and balls of my feet from spinnign on them for so many times and so long, and now they hurt and are bandaged, but hopefully will be fine for class tuesday, even if it hurts i want to work on this some more :)
I have no money to test, but I still want to work alot on my technique, so instead of working out for 2 hours every day, i’ll work out for 1 hour and practice my taekwondo for an hour.
Classes have been going pretty good. I don’t get that pain anymore, which I”m glad and I’m thinking my body ’s getting used to the way it has to move doing taekwondo.
We’ve got all the basics down and are starting bag work, so now I just have to work on my form and technique, yay!
So taekwondo started yesturday, and i remembered the kicks and everything, they just do basics on the first day, but about half way through class i started getting a pain where i had broken my pelvic bone. i’m guessing it’s from the twisting motion when i do the side and roundhouse kicks, and i’m hopeing that it’s just because it’s not used to that. a little after class it didn’t hurt any more, it was just while i’m doing it, so i don’t think i’m hurting myself or damaging anything.
anyway, i’m going to stick to it, just take it easy at first tho.
So i had my doctor appointment this morning and the doctor told me it would probly be ok for me to take taekwondo.
I can’t wait! 5 weeks and i’m moving back to Stevens point and start classes! whee!!
well, i signed up for my spring semester courses this morning, and although i didn’t have permission from my doctor i signed up for taekwondo. i love it and i want to do it, i think i’ll need it.
i hope i’ll be in shape enough to do it. and if i’m not i can always withdrawl but i don’t want to . i want to learn so i’m glad i signed up even against my mom advising against it.

Anil Kumar asks,
“I joined taekwondo class, but the instructors will not be available for whole month. Can someone recommend something for me to do in the meanwhile? Like, can I practice taekwondo with the help of videos? Thanks.”
