twosoon day off yay!!!!
my ipod needs an upgrade
How I did it: Went into the apple store (did not have a receipt) but they knew by the serial number it was not very old, so they tested it and replaced it with a new, identical one! I was in there maybe 15 minutes!!
Lessons & tips: Call Apple or your closest Apple store, you DO need an appt!
My father fixed it for me. Bought a new lcd screen for 15 pounds and fixed it in around an hour, I watched, aaaaaaaawesome

The problem turn out to be an incompatibility with iPod and Windows Vista.
Yet another point for Apple in the battle of Microsoft versus Macintosh. Getting very sick of this computer. Sigh.
presto is on the mend.
well, if you go to the apple website, it seems as though the only fix for a sad ipod icon is to bring it in. sad ipod icon = problem with harddrive. but after nosing around on the ‘net a little, it seemed like many people had success through hitting their ipod against a hard surface. I semi-gently tapped mine on the roof of my car. and it works again!!
So if I read it right. I can get my iPod service for 60$ ish. In addition, I can buy 2yr extended warranty for $60 also. =\ Hrm…I’m a bit sleepy right now. I’ll look more into it tomorrow. And possibly look into how much it would be to upgrade it.
