Ok, no compliment here, but I’d still like to document a fantastically sunny day spent in Brighton with my friend A (and various interesting friends of hers.)

Strangely it was the first day of summer! yes, so warm I had my shirt sleeves up, Adele was in t-shirt and it’s only February 29th.

An artist friend of mine, who paints such beautiful portraits, drew a little sketch of me on friday. It’s a charming little piece.

A goat who never expresses any enthusiasm or emotions from the heart. An Englishman where everything is just plain ‘nice’. Nothing is ever more emotional than that. So controlled.

Having had a couple of drinks together on Friday he came up with:
“I love your hair. I love it. It’s your best asset.”

Beaut. Worth storing.

Having dinner and then cocktails with an old friend of 14yrs. We’ve worked together in a couple of god-forsaken internet companies. Four of us are still in touch and friends.

Can’t remember the exact context, or how he managed to say it politely, but he mentioned how over the years he’s fantasied about me for wank material a few times.

How complimentary is that?!

Apparently the last time was about 6 months back when he was fixing my laptop and I bent down to pick something up.

Busy, crowded Oxford st tube station. Underground in rush hour.
A nice looking man in his late 30s passed me coming from the other direction, looking straight at me he kindly said: “I like your hair.”

I smiled and turned to him as he passed me by and said “Thank you.”

So lovely. Totally self-less and said in a kind manner. 15 months ago
