I take private dancing lessons in argentine tango. It’s just me and my teacher now. I would love to find a dance partner to take lessons with and go to “milongas” together!
How to find a dance partner
How I did it: Until I found a dance partner, I kept coming to dance practices. I danced with who ever was available. This showed that I'm serious and I don't give up easily. Soon somenone showed up that is as passionate about this as I am and we make a great pair.
Lessons & tips: Don't give up. Just b/c you don't have a partner, doesn't mean you should stop. This tests you. Most people will give up, but if you stick just a little longer, it'll pay off. Plus, while you're without a partner, you can practice certain steps on your own. Don't waste that time.
Resources: There are so many things that you can do. I listined to music and get familiar with the rythm or learn to recognize songs.

I find lots of women to dance with taller than me, what i need to find is someone between 4’10” and 5’.
I took a social dance class last semester and I’ve always loved dancing at wedding receptions and I’m a sometimes dancer in my parents’ folkdance group, but outside of class, I’ve always had to dance with my dad. Granted, he’s a really good dancer, so it’s always fun, but it would be more fun with someone closer to my age. And, y’know, not my dad.
I just love couples dancing so much and it’s good exercise, which would help me get more in shape. sigh Too bad guys my age generally don’t like to do that sort of dancing, or dance at all.
