I’m done with this goal. It had been hard looking for a good ISP here in our area where most ISP’s have no more slots available. So I had no choice but to go for wireless connections. I think I made a good decision with my choice of ISP.

So done, Good-bye AOL!
Hello DSL. :D
I seriously cannot believe I lived with dial-up since 02/02/2003. Sigh. Ha ha, yay!

AHHH! So I ordered AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet, (or SBC Yahoo! DSl as others may know it) 2 days ago and the equipment finally got here today. I’ve had AOL Dial-Up since 02/02/2003. Blah, so lame. My activation for DSL starts on 8/27/207. I’m excited!

After all these years using dial-up I finally broke down and upgraded to DSL. Now the next step is to set-up the VPN connection to work so I don’t have to dial-up for that either. Afterwards comes the wireless network in my home so my daughter can connect her laptop and play WOW.

I have not even been able to make up my mind yet whether I want phone or cable access. I know cable is faster but I have the sense it is not as reliable. Just. Don’t. Know.

Cable is working out way better for me. I currently have three computers and 3 PSPs connected and when the new game consoles get here and the Tivo all those will be connected as well. The DSL connection couldn’t support just the 2 computers without a major slowdown, at least not with my setup.

I actually decided to go with cable internet, because after six years with 56K dialup, I believe I have earned the right to have the fastest connection possible in my home. Suffering=big rewards. It’s the American way!
