My hair is still wet so its darker than it will be at the moment. The brown is incredibly subtle and I’m thinking about going to Sally’s tomorrow and buying a little more color, like a golden brown to add to it for variety and surprise’s sakes.

So right now I’m over halfway done with my hair coloring job. I do all my own colorings (and half a dozen other people’s)—it’s nice to know if I flunk out of my engineering degree journey, I can always color hair for a living…lol.

I’ve gotten rid of my highlights with the perpetual root growth on the top (it was auburn on black) by coloring it back to its natural color using a black with a blue-violet base. And now I’m adding some subtle auburn (will eventually turn a cool brown) highlights to one of my bottom layers (color is processing as I type). That way I get a touch of another color (which is nice when I study with thousands of other asian girls—I can stand out a tiny bit.), but when the inevitable root growth tries to show its ugly head it will be buried in the mass that is my hair. Theory is you won’t see the roots while my hair is down or up.

So, that is my ramble as I continue to wait for my hair to be done. 6 years ago

I just can’t keep up with my highlights; it seems like my roots are always showing. So, I’m going at this with a different approach—something with a little less maintenance. 6 years ago

I should have done this lat weekend. The hair along my part looks like a skunk, but even worse, I have “witch streaks” of gray hair at the temples. Eek! 7 years ago
