How I did it: Well, I bought an ex250 ninja; Just something to get me down the road. I gave it a little tune up, and it does it great. I didn't have to spend a lot of money. 2k got me a nearly brand new bike.
Lessons & tips: But... I'm still reluctant to ride for the same reasons that I sold my
last bike. My ultimate limitation riding on the road is the road
itself; cars coming, gravel, how far I can see through a corner, etc.
I can't push even this 250 and still maintain a margin of error riding
on the stree. If I want to keep riding, I need to either move to the
dirt or take it to the track. The dirt's the most likely now. We'll
see. Anywho, I've had some great rides w/ friends since I got the new
bike. It was totally worth it, but I'm ready to move on again. Peace.

My old bike in the parking lot at work!!!!!!!!! I had a strong urge to jump on in and ride away – although I suspect that some might consider this illegal – so I restrained myself. It hurt in my gut to know that I couldn’t ride it (I may be exaggerating – but only slightly). Oh beauty – I miss you.

realistically and honestly, i’m far from being where i would like to be with respect to my finances right now. i would like to first reach that financial happy place, and also improve my bikey skills to a certain level with what i do have (the sv650s which i do adore !).
and why not get mad riding skills with the svee? there is so much to learn and do with it. i can use the money that might go into another bike right now instead into more biker training and fun related activities. and when i am ready financially and bikey skill-wise, well, i’ll then be ready to revisit this goal.
and when i am, i may just get myself a 2007 black or 2008 silver honda cbr600rr. i am admittedly quite curious about how these new rides ride :D

I had a bike for 3 years and this is my first summer without one and its KILLING me. seriously, rip my heart out. $1400 bucks left till my car’s paid off and then I can FINALLY get a motorcycle loan.
note to self: never sell what you LOVE to do for what you NEED to do. you’ll always regret it.
