Bedhead226/28

Last night…some Ani Di Franco, and more Fiona apple with a little Hi Light Tribe.
It was fun and quick!
I’m using my hoop to do some stretching to for a couple minutes, it really helps to get a good stretch! 13 months ago

kaleidoscopeladythe whole point

last night I really wasn’t into it. I watched a few videos for inspiration and even found some really interesting music. I did it anyway and that is the whole point, I think.

I hope this cold ends soon. We hooped for 1.5 hours in the park Wednesday and all of us were inspired so I think I exhausted myself somewhat. :)

I figure most of my hoops will arrive by next week…new hoops are usually inspiring.

I have them hanging in my mud room on a paper towel holder up high. I wonder how much more room I have? Not much, I think. 13 months ago

Bedhead225/27

Done!
Fiona & Chris Isaac again.
Somehow managed to hit my nail in my hoop :( pain. I put some Traumeel on it and someone kissed it so it should heal up quickly! 13 months ago

kaleidoscopeladyspin jam

every wednesday! This is my second one for our side of town. There’s only four of us but it’s super nice still.

The hostess found an awesome spot that we’re keeping in mind for rainy weather! Yeah!

I ordered some new hoops last night and am dreaming of hoops today while I attempt to be present at work! 13 months ago

Bedhead223/25 & 24/26

♥ Did the last two days! :)
30 minutes each day 13 months ago

FindingMyNameHooped it up..

Went to my first little hoop jam today. There were only 4 people, myself included, but still it was amazing, it was almost better only being a few people because we all got a long and it was cozy and there was plenty of room to spin around. I felt more comfortable with really hooping and handing myself over to the music, there than I do in my own driveway. Which is silly because I figured it’d be the other way around, hooping in front of people I don’t know. But it was amazing. I really enjoyed the music, and the scenery was beautiful. We were hooping in a little amphitheater (even though were probably weren’t really allowed to be haha) Just adorable, really the whole park was. It was small but really nice.
I think that was a big part of it, the fact that I thought it was so cute. But I’m sure I loved it so much because I never get out of my neighborhood haha.
Man. I loved it. I really was able to really feel the music. The best hooping session I’ve had this year.
And many more to come!

Fiona Apple, Sinead O’conner…lots of fun!!! 13 months ago

Bedhead221/23

I was looking up Fiona (the name) online because my friend likes that name. I remembered Fiona Apple’s album Tidal. I hooped to many of her songs and it was awesome!

I’m excited that there are people joining the April 7 hoop goal (starting in 5 days)!!! 13 months ago

kaleidoscopeladyapril

My niece spent the night in preparation for us attending our first large spin jam here in town.

We stayed up kind of late playing a bit. Then the spin jam got rained out.

When the rain started to clear, early afternoon we took our hoops and music into my front yard and spun the day away.

It was great fun. We each had a small part of the yard and took turns sitting and watching one another too.

She taught me the thread the needle twins move and I figured out how to add speed to the chest roll.

We ended our very eclectic session with Michael Jackson’s thriller and giggled our butts off.

Great fun. 13 months ago

Bedhead2 20/22

I did 10 minutes after work to some fun music.
Then I did 20 minutes at 10:30 pm while finishing the George Clooney movie The Descendants. The movie was okay. I enjoyed the views of Hawaii and the nice soundtrack. 13 months ago

Bedhead230 min done! 19/21

I love this 30/30!
I just listened to a bunch of The Cure from all mixed up, I think that’s what it’s called.
I jumped through the hoop a bunch of times for the first time tonight. I used the hoop I made. 13 months ago

Fun night using my LED hoop. 13 months ago

Bedhead2Completed 17 days out of 19

(my LED HOOP!)

Very dance-y tonight!
When I watch shows it’s basic hooping, when I play music it’s very dance-y with a chance of flying hoops! Very fun. I played songs from my list and used my LED HOOP !!! FUN FUN and lots of pretty colors. 13 months ago

FindingMyNameProud of myself

I’ve really been keeping up with this. And it’s not that difficult to want to hoop everyday, but for me to anything daily for a long period of time is something I can’t I’m well known for. So I’m really proud of myself for really keeping up with this. I do feel a little more connected to my hoops from doing this as well.
(stereo-typical hippie voice) My hoop and I are like, one. We’re like a light bulb and a lamp, man. We’re like how different colors swirl together to make a beautiful tye-dye shirt. Hoop love, dude.

No but really, I do love my hoops. 13 months ago

Bedhead216/18

I have hooped every day for a while.
Tonight was fun, I used two hoops. I kept dropping one. I tried to suck in my stomach, I think it’s a better work out.

Here’s a quote my friend posted the other day.

‎”Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth… This is the real message of love.” – Thich Nhat Hanh13 months ago

kaleidoscopeladyMonday

I got outside yesterday, despite being on the mend from a brutal stomach bug. I did some light hooping for a few in the sun. I actually tried about a million chest rolls and didn’t land a single one. (grrr).

Again, in the living room in the evening, a bit of light stuff. Considering I thought I might die the previous night, it counts. 13 months ago

kaleidoscopeladydecent weekend

hooped on and off all weekend as normal. Made a crappy video…I was too freaked out by the camera but kept the footage anyway.

The possibility of joining the hooping community here in town is messing with my mind a bit. It’s making me self conscious again and taking away the good pure fun of it.

I suppose a bit of competitiveness or a challenge to improve is not a bad thing by any means. Incentive, after all. 13 months ago

Bedhead214/16 & 15/17

Watched Black books last night (while hooping)
& the show Louie tonight.

Good basic hooping…dropped my hoop on my face tonight, ouch!
I hope I don’t get a bruise! 13 months ago

Bedhead212/14 &13/15

Did it. Did it.
Mellow hooping to Black books.

Hey, here’s Baxter doing some really unique hoop moves to
50 Cent, check it out! Click :-)

[Update: I just found out (asked him) he’s hooping with an untaped pvc hoop. He sanded it for more grip!] 14 months ago

kaleidoscopeladythe sky

something else I’d wanted to mention.

Looked up at the sky three different times of day yesterday while attempting to vertical chest hoop in a back bend position.

The first it was bright blue, sunny and hot, the second was more overcast and cool sublimely perfect spring weather. The third was a starry sky, overcast and then lit up by LED lights.

Thank you hoop for giving me the opportunity to observe, appreciate and revel in the changing sky.

kaleidoscopeladyall day

during the hot day and then at night with my LED for a bit outside while the family ran to the store.

I did some of the repetitive exercise moves while waist hooping.

Beats antique or the like is still the main music. I did a bit of cocorosie and something else I’d wanted to mention but can’t remember now, it was fun though. 14 months ago

kaleidoscopeladyduring the day

Hooped in the sand patch today. First, while the kids played then while they slept I hooped in my bikini. yeah, it’s that hot.

Oh boy, I need to get into shape.

It was really nice and fun though.

Beats antique,etc. 14 months ago

kaleidoscopeladylast night

quick hoop, on the sand patch, next to a bonfire, just before bed. Sky full of stars, no music . 14 months ago

Bedhead211/13 (11 days completed this month)

Quick hoop—Black books! Almost bed time.

I found this quote tonight & I really like it.

‎”Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth… This is the real message of love.” – Thich Nhat Hanh14 months ago
