I need to clean the fan blades and get some card tables, but other than that…
It’s just shopping and cooking and some sweeping and mopping.

I got some more yard work done this last weekend. I’m about to start straightening up the yard for looks…you know, birdbath, bird feeders, statuary, etc 14 months ago

I have furniture to sit on.
Need some long tables for food and some folding chairs.
The house is somewhat picked up (at least the upstairs) and I have started digging in the backyard so we can get that in order.
I need to plant flowers in the flower planters and get them on the front steps.
I am very excited. THe furniture most likely won’t be painted, but that’s ok. I just want people over! 14 months ago

So I cooked another batch of chicken and the oven was just perfect. WTF? Oh well. The message here is obviously…watch the chicken/oven as it bakes.

I cleaned off most of the front porch last night and reshuffled more things to the garage and downstairs.

I organized my free aluminum pans.
I feel good about this.

I need to finish up the front porch,
fix the cool new end-table that I just found in the alley.
get that vegan chili recipe from mom again.
Or maybe I’ll just do my own recipe with a giant can of chili beans and fake ground beef….hmmm…. 14 months ago

I’m trying to learn to make fried chicken to serve to folks for easter.
So, My oven has two temperatures.
“Off” and “HELL”.
I burned everything and had to take the batteries out of the smoke detector.

CRAZY.
That’s ok. The chicken was not quiet burned and my folks said it was good and I tried it and I liked it.
I’m gonna try it again tonight and take some to my friend’s house tomorrow.
This time, I’m gonna time it and turn the oven off and on at intervals and maybe even buy an oven thermometer so I can really see what’s happening.
I mean, Yesterday, the chicken was on “WARM” for 15 minutes and STILL burned. I’d like to know how hot hell really is. 14 months ago

Chaz and I were wondering if anyone might want to come to our new place for Easter.
I was thinking about frying up a mess of chicken (with italian bread crumbs, like mom does) and
maybe asking people to bring side dishes, apps, etc.
We were planning on inviting both my family and Chaz’s family.
If it’s a nice day, we’ll have plenty of room to spread out on the front and back porches.
Everybody’s welcome to bring friends and visitors too.

Anybody game?
If somebody else was set on having Easter, that’s ok too. We could have folks over some other time.

So, now, I have to fix the place up.
I am so happy! OH, and I think I’m getting the really cool couch. Look at it!
And ALSO, I think maybe we can paint furniture on Easter.
Wouldn’t that be fun?
