Go on a missions trip to Africa

I cannot express in words what a life changing experience it was going over seas to help others. It made me view the world and life in a whole new way.
I saved up money to go by asking local churches, restaurants, friends, family etc to donate towards my trip. People are always willing to donate to a good cause! I also held garage sales, ebay etc. (Make a blog etc)

I went to Ghana, West Africa for one month. Many organizations have trips where you can go for one week or a whole year..it is up to you.

I went with a group called Teen Mania Ministries. They are very reliable, safe and great people. Their site is www.GlobalExpeditions.com They are a non-denominational Christian based group.

Now that I am older I am thinking of going on a trip with www.CrossCulturalSolutions.com I hear they are good too and non-religous.

If anyone needs any advice or tips on preparing for a trip, I’d love to help!

I think it would be so much fun to meet people in Africa who live in poverty. From what I understand, they are some of the most fun-loving, thankful people anyone can meet. I’d love to go over there & hang with them, take pictures, help them attain the things they need for better health and a better life.

Going to lead a group to Africa in April to do a VBS for kids! I know God is leading me there…a little nervous…but I know I am in good hands…and looking very forward to it!

I think God spoke to me in a dream about helping an orphanage in Africa and maybe adopting from their. It was so vivid. I knew I wanted to do something including teaching overseas. Maybe this is my calling.
