create more art projects

I’ve been listening to Didith Reyes’ songs as my little tribute as she passed away yesterday. I realized how much I enjoy listening (and singing) to OPM.

I was also researching for design ideas for my gift tags until I stumbled upon Vanessa Ho’s flickr site (http://flickr.com/photos/vanka/sets/72157600036127130/). Her dreamy self-portraits reminded me of who I was.

Emo.

Spent a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon with friends kids on a nature walk in Sussex , collected fallen leaves & twigs and grass & made leaf people. We were quite pleased with them, then we walked round the corner and found a place where someone had made the most amazing sheep from woven willow twigs… still we did our best

I finally took the plunge to get a really big photo done on canvas. It’s 1m x 1m – so looks pretty impressive up on the wall. The company I got to print it did a good job, but it wasn’t exactly cheap. Really happy with it though.

I’ve taken a new job being a magazine art director (and layout artist at the same time). I accepted it even at a small fee.

And guess what? When I presented my draft template this afternoon my boss was impressed! She was also glad that I have some skills at magazine page planning.

Wow. It really touched me. And one of the surprises that happened that afternoon is that I got a raise—about P5,000. Not bad.

I’m so excited about his project. Woohoo!

For the case of painting, I have never been this ‘fatigued’ and challenged with my entry to our exhibit.

I toiled for it for days and weeks, setting endless deadlines, and almost endlessly frustrated. Getting it done has become an extraordinary feat considering I used to paint before.

So I’ll give a big pat on my back for a job well done! :)

tomorrow is my personal deadline for my painting. i must push myself to do it! or else, i’ll be doomed!

I should be painting/drawing my artwork for the exhibit.

I think what draws me back is that it’s been such a long time since I’ve produced a decent artwork… I think I’m losing it.

I plan to start my artwork tomorrow afternoon. I’ve got no other choice. My deadline is on Saturday.

hahaha! this is the wittiest scenario for a philippine mythical creature to be in this modern age! the people in the art organization i was with was so entertained with the idea.

our artworks will be exhibited in two months. i’m anticipating so much for this one. i should start very soon!
