As I sit down and analyze every piece of art, literature, and film I created in the past, I learn so much from myself. It is exciting as though seeing yourself in third person. I think I need to do this goal so I have something exclusively personal left of me when I die.

i realize i keep scribbling things everywhere -
just not in one place.
i’m still not down with the habit of sitting
down to “write a diary entry” -
especially when i’m more immediately gratified
by watching a good tv show, or other distractions
like cyworld or facebook.
hmm. even the sand-clock i got hasn’t been able
to really sit down to do the 3 minute diary
in the morning time, which the book suggested.
it’s also my sleep cycle that isn’t consistent!
i am working at night these days for my
dissertation, (it’s too hot during the day, too
expensive to work outside and spend money on
two meals a day!, and sometimes my room-mates
need help from me during the day that ends up
me doing something else!) so morning-writing
just isn’t going to work!
hmmm…
i’m trying to think if there was anything i did
on a “daily” basis ever – which i enjoyed -
reading -
music -
talking -
would keeping a voice-diary
or having a “letter-style” diary
to a fictional character help me?
hmmm…
maybe I really should try that…
i remember –
i used to write daily to a friend
called V years ago -
mostly email – back and forth…
maybe i’ll just create a new inbox…
just for my diary!
sounds A LOT MORE interesting
than doing a “conventional” diary writing!
it’ll feel like i’m TALKING TO someone!

Have always wanted to do this but never managed it. Think it will be better if l write to myself instead of using others as a sounding board

so i have a bunch of journals that i have started and then forgotten about through out my whole life. i feel like there are so many things that i want to look back on and i cant because i didn’t keep a journal of it. when i first went to college i wanted to start keeping a journal to remember every friend i made and what the drama of the week was. i started out fine, but then after a week i stopped because i got too busy and forgot about it. and then i wanted to remember some things from the beginning of the year and realized i didn’t write it down! so i want to set aside some time every night to write in my journal and reflect on the day. i hope i can keep up with this, especially since i end up coming home every night and crashing out after doing some homework…i need to stay focused on my goal!

I’m writing this the morning after. Yesterday was OK. Made some extra cash cleaning. S came over. Met a new client. Went to my niece’s birthday party. 15 yr old went with us & wasn’t too bad!

I’ve decided to do this here instead of my LJ, I’m afraid of “bugging” my friends on there. Today was a good day, but I was very tired when I got home from my first shift today. I took a nap. I meant to lay down for about an hour. Three hours later, J called & woke me up. I feel like I wasted the time I should have been using to maintain the house & spending with the boys.
