learn to ice skate well

I think I’m finally getting somewhere! I have ice skating lessons every thursday, and I’ve been doing it for over a year now, and I’ve been moved to a group which is equivalent to Bronze nisa :D
I’m on a waiting list for private lessons now, so once they start I should finally be able to finish this!

I’ve been taking lessons for nearly a year now, and this next term will probably be the last I can do lessons because of my gap year and then uni following that. I’m still rubbish and probably always will be, but at least I tried :-)

Lessons are over for this term :-( so wont have another lesson until January, but hopefully I will go skating lots anyway.

Welllll I’m not very good at skating, and I couldn’t stop at all using snow plough, and when I attempted a t-stop I just almost fell forwards and ended up twisting round in circles. But today I did t stops and I can do them now! :-) So I’m quite pleased with that =)

I’ve finished this term of skating lessons, consisting of 12 lessons… I’m better than I was before but I’m still not very good and don’t really like trying next things in case I fall over.

I’ve paid for my next term, and I intend to spend more time trying things rather than saying ‘I can’t do it’. I just end up annoying the teacher and myself.

I haven’t been skating since my last lesson :-( Not through lack of wanting. But I’m going on Thursday! 5 hours hehe =D

About a month or two ago I bought my own skates! Jackson Mystique. I love them! All clean and white and new!

And I’m not very good hehe. But I guess I could be worse… There are some people there who are doing the course for a second time and I’m a bit better…

I’m better when skating on my left foot, which is strange because I’m right handed.. But it means that when other people are skating on their right foot, I look really bad because I’m rubbish, but then I look better when on my left foot hehe.

Just have to see what I’m like at the end of these 12 lessons… I’ll probably have more lessons again afterwards, they’re fun! I think I prefer them to kickboxing in a way

I have lessons starting sometime this month… Think there are only 12 of them or something… But hopefully after them I’ll be better :P And if they’re fun I’ll sign up again for another term.

Just hope I don’t break too many bones!

I fell over :P… It wasn’t technically my fault – someone fell over in front of me and i fell over them, but if I was a good skater I would have been able to stop :P… But anyway, no real damage done, the person I fell on was fine and I just have a bruised elbow and a cut hip so all’s good =D

I really can’t stop… I just end up turning round in circles.
