My son was telling me about a European friend he has who doesn’t like the US much. I asked him if he was able to tell the friend anything good about the US. He smiled and said “Sure, in AZ you can take a right on a red light.” Obviously, he apreciates the simple pleasures, too. We have a huge old van that starts right up every time. It may not look like much or be in great shape, but it makes me smile and laugh to drive it once in a while. Because rosemary is one of my favorite fragrances, I potted up a small plant from my garden and brought it inside where I could enjoy it all winter. The book I’m currently reading mentions keeping rosemary inside this way:

I invited an online friend who is a french teacher to go with me to a sneak preview of a film at the local modern art museum today. It was made in Spain but if you like foreign films and fairy tales it was quite twisted…a woman bullfighter and dwarfs…exceptional black and white cinematography..did I mention it was a silent film? Quite intriguing actually.
After the film we enjoyed a lovely Sunday Brunch and discovered we have so much in common.

Yesterday, I didn’t think through my route properly, so I ended up on a “new” bus line. I’m glad. It had a wonderful route passing beautiful buildings.
