call my mother

while she was alive

Thankfully I’ve been managing to stay as close to her in college as I was in high school. The cell phone is a wonderful thing….every time I have to walk somewhere far-ish on campus, I’ll give her a quick call. It’s easy and comforting to talk in bits and pieces even if I can’t always set aside a large chunk of time.

I should do it again, maybe instead of being on here.

prolly not often enough

not worth it to call MY mom. But I’ve been guilted into talking to her by my aunt…

is in a mental health facility. I’ve called her everyday since she checked herself in. I’m worried, but I’m glad she is getting some care. There really isn’t much I can do. But I feel the same kind of fear that I had when she would get “sick” when i was a kid.

She doesn’t really like to talk on the phone. Since she refuses to get a hearing aid, it is difficult to have any conversation. So we keep the talk to a minimum, and she coaxes me to write to her instead.

Ever since me running away, my mom sending me to my dad, coming back to San Antonio and living with my boyfriend and his family, I haven’t really talk to my mother in a year. With mothers Day coming up I realize I actually miss my mom. before all that happened between me and my mother I was a mommas girl I loved and took care of my mom. But when she picked my aunt over me I just broke my heart. And I’m a very very stubborn person I will not apologize until the other person apologizes first. I called her a while ago and this was the first time she heard my voice in a year and guess what she said to me… “I’m busy doing the laundry.” I don’t want to be disappointed again.

she wants to go to germany with me next year! who woulda thought it?!
