I dined and dashed in Connecticut this week. I was driving from Boston back home to Washington DC and stopped for breakfast at a Denny’s diner. It was very crowded and I had to wait ten minutes for a table, even longer for service, and yet even longer to get my food.
The waitress was not helpful and management was clueless. I went to pay for my food at the cash register and waited for a minute. I was sick of waiting and figured it would be a good time to run.
My heart was beating with fear and adrenaline and I nervously pretended to make a phone call and I walked outside of the restaurant, walked quickly to my car, and took off hundreds of miles away.
My only regret-I should have ordered more food!

It was at the campus pub, the waitress was supposed to make us pay when we ordered, but she didn’t :). The staff kept check up on us, and we had a jolly good time, the food was great! At the end we just.. walk right out! Yay for free food!
What a lucky fluke!

I went to a restaurant with my mother and my sister. When it was time to pay the bill, which was at a counter, we just went up with a huge family of the same ethnicity (so as to blend in well) and walked out. It was actually an accident. We meant to pay, but no one was paying attention to us, so whatever. Let’s just say, we plan to do it again, this time, accident free! ;) It’s best to hit places that deserve it or that won’t miss the money. Be a little ethical. =p

Dine and dash is exactly what it means…EAT AND RUN!! Haha!! That’s exactly what we did tonight. What a great rush of excitement!!!
We only did it because the service was terrible. They made us wait forever. They didn’t have room inside the resturant so we had to stay outside in the freezing cold. We sat there and they totally forgot about us and didn’t take our order. My friend had to go in and remind them we were outside.
So, bad service means free food HAHA!! Fun times…
