Living In God's Exquisite, Miraculous SufficiencyEasy Now

In Sep’10, I did a program with Scott Colby called Ageless Abs. It was 12-weeks and he started us off on reducing our sugar consumption down to 15 g per day total. I balked at it as one apple had 15g of sugar.

But, that got me to understanding the impact that sugar has on my specific body, including naturally occurring sugar. I learned how to read labels and look at foods differently. I saw that my sleep was much better on lower sugar.

I didn’t realize my body has a really hard time with sugar, hence, why I’ve made even more drastic changes to my diet.

Though fruit is natural sugars, even my body does not like this too much so I eat fruit very, very sparingly until I get to my desired goal weight or at least within close range.

My goal is in the 165-170 range, which I should have a flat tummy by then, maybe even a little abs peaking out. Dunno.

Anyway, since 27-Jan-2012, most days if I were to count how much sugar I’ve consumed, it would be under 15 g every day, and usually under 10 g total. That includes everything, including vegetables & nuts.

I prepare most of my foods, so I know what I’m adding.

I don’t have sugar cravings, so this is good, nor do I have cravings for any bad foods since nixing grains & starches. My energy levels are great usually, unless I choose to stay up too late and not get adequate rest.

I’m well past 30 days of removing all added sugar from my diet, so I can mark this as done. 14 months ago
