go to the duck pond near here

as suggested by trauma junkie, i went to the sarah p. duke gardens. it was very nice. at first i was worried the ducks might have gone south but was reassured by the sound of quacking as i approached the pond.

i saw ducks like i’d never seen before! the picture here is from wikipedia (i’m not doing so well with this goal) and i think it shows one of the unusual kinds of ducks i saw. next time i go i will pay more attention to the sign delineating the duck varieties. 5 years ago

“here” meant state college, pa and i had heard of a duck pond near campus. i never got around to visiting it; now that i don’t live there anymore i’ll have to first find a duck pond near here and then go to it.
