... as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
This is one of my favourite quotes. I reflected on it as I received my post-graduate diploma. I feel more determined to apply for an MBA.

to celebrate:) enjoyed a gig with some of my dearest and dearest. Beautiful music, great company. Also heard from several special ones around the place that remembered. My friend dedicated a song to me,same one I had been humming to myself all week:) even losing my purse in the taxi didn’t seem to ruin my night. I can just imagine the hippies that I saw piling into the taxi after me,finding it and using the $ to have lots of fun. Bet they couldn’t believe their luck, finding my purse that bears the slogan ‘enjoy life, never frown’!

A cousin (who is my children’s godfather’s older brother) died today at the young age of 44 after a clot moved to his brain. My thoughts go to his wife & young family.
I didn’t know him very well but will work out some appropriate words for a sympathy card.
It reminds me of my own mortality & not to take life for granted. To celebrate every day!

We stayed in Idaho Falls last night. Our inn is right alongside the Snake River, and there is a lovely river walk and park. Sadie the dog and I have made good use of the park. It is lovely, vivid green, with a grove of lilacs, tons of trees, families of ducks and geese, and scavenger sea gulls. The duck parents herded their babies up to the shoreline to avoid interacting with the geese. Who knew ducks had that type of prejudice? I watched a squirrel run through the trees, going right to the narrow new growth of branches and easily jumping to the next narrow branch, then pausing to munch on some leaves. And Sadie was in heaven with all the smells. Ah! What a perfect way to start the day!

I went for an enjoyable run today even though I woke up feeling crappy. After a few kms my aches had gone & I was feeling great.
I stopped to watch some junior rugby.
Some kids wanted to pat the dog & we started talking about Hairy Maclary & how my dog (Honey) looked like Bitzer Molony.
When I drove up the coast later & saw the sun setting I stopped & took a snap.
I believe life is about taking time to appreciate things like this.

I stopped to take this picture on my run yesterday. Loved the golden contrasts with the clear blue sky.

Got up at the crack of dawn to play a round of golf at our local home club.
The drizzle cleared & I enjoyed the round.
