JulieJordanScott is continually setting odd goals that need translation for many people
When I was a little girl, it was a BIG deal to go to the Bronx zoo with Dad’s secretary, Stella.
Sue and I wore matching dresses that day, complete with matching hats, for the big outing. I think I might have even worn white patent leather shoes which must have been hand-me-downs because Lord knows my mother would not have purchased something so impractical!
My Dad worked in Manhatten for a publishing company, we lived in a suburb of New York (Glen Ridge.) I thought Stella was beautiful – almost as beautiful as Mom.
She had long brown hair, like I did, and I always felt if a woman had long brown hair it was a secret code that she was somehow a like hearted person.
:-)
Ahhhh, childhood. Sweet childhood.
I am so glad I happened onto this goal. Made contentment ooze out of me in this moment.
