How I did it: Believe it or not you can find humor in most things look at me for example when I was growing up my mother used to call me a word that well, wasn’t very nice. Sometimes when me and my husband are feeling silly and making jokes we say that word using different accents. It sounds kind of weird to most people that a word my mother called me and caused me so many sleepless nights and therapy sessions could make me laugh today. But it’s true. Read how I did it…

How I did it: It was pretty suprising how it all happened. My friend had a drinking and drug problem and I would tell him everyday that I didn't like the fact that he drank. I told him that in my opinion, I didn't see the point. I told him a story about when I was spending time with my friends, and both of them wanted to go get high. I told them I didn't want to and so they left me so they could go. Then one day he just came up to me and said… Read how I did it…

I had an interesting realization today and I thought I should share it with you before I mark this one as “done”.
I made this a goal, but I’ve already done it. According to my boyfriend/best friend since fifth grade, I changed HIS life when I moved into his town back in the fourth grade. He says that his life was made much better when I befriended him since he had no one at the time.
But the realization was that the reason that I want to teach is to continue changing people’s lives for the better. So I’ll probably still post to this goal even though I’ve technically “done it”.
Good luck, everyone, and I just want to say that the fact that so many people want this as a goal is really inspiring.
I wish to have a positive impact on people’s life. By striving to change someone else’s life for the better, I believe I am being a better person.
You have probably heard this over and over again, It is nearly impossible to reach any degree of success without experiencing failure. It is understandable how many still have not come to grips with this, especially when you have you heart and mind focused on instant gratification on a certain outcome. What’s often not understood is that when your particular quest is not successful, it does not mean you as a person are a failure or that you will never achieve success in your quest. If you give up altogether and allow your setback to dictate you abilities and future then no, you will not achieve the success you desire.www.thesunshoweredlife.com
There are a few things we can do to help us think about failure differently so that we will get up and continue to push toward our goal and not walk away from them discouraged.
First, we must understand that it is inevitable not to make mistakes or fail, we all make them how else will we learn the appropriate way to do things, goes back to learning how to walk, read or riding a bicycle. For me, I know I fell many times of my first bicycle before I learned how to ride it. Imagine if I would have just said, you know what I’m done and tired of scraping my knees it hurts too much please get the bicycle away from me.
Second, we can examine our mistakes and failures and consider them valuable lessons and examples for future endeavors instead of road blocks.
Third, failure’s are not who you are and they do not define us, they are events that take place in one’s life and something that occurs, but it definitely does not define us.
I used to try very hard to be pleasant and kind to everyone I met. But after taking a critical mass of other people’s crap and nastiness, I no longer have the energy to give like that anymore. Unfortunately, kindness make people think you are weak, which leads them to try and take advantage of you. I hate to be so pessimistic, but it seems best to think of most people as being self-serving turds, and when you find the ones you truly like, then that is the time to be giving.
I’m going to check this off my list after I’ve donated blood and bone marrow.
