It's official! 17 months ago

We’re bf/gf, I’ve met his parents, I have a key to his apartment and this week he’s making room for me to leave some clothes and toiletries at his place!

It’s moving at the speed of light… no?

Dating one now.. 18 months ago

And I’m so happy :)

There are Pros and Cons 19 months ago

I say its worth doing simply because the Marine I dated, known fondly to my friends as Marine-Boy, was an amazing guy. We started dating right after he got back from Iraq(after being shot five times(twice in the arm, twice in the back, and once in the head) and blown up and left with half a lung. Miraculously he was fine. Other than a few scars and not being able to breath as easier he wasn’t hurt too bad.)

We broke up in October, but we still talk. I just couldn’t handle a relationship like ours. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California I was up in Eastern Washington. I would’ve only gotten to see him a couple times a year, unless I were to go down there, and it was really hard on me. As it is, what broke us was that he was in field training again for a couple weeks, and then was in Germanty and fighting the wildfires in California so I couldn’t talk to him for a month. We decided when he gets out(less than a year away…) though that we might try again…

Most Marines are amazing. But make sure your heart can handle it first. I wasn’t ready for what I was going to have to go through without him, but maybe someday I will be. If you don’t think you’re ready but still want to give it a go, I wish you good luck. But I warn you that you might get your heart broken, and at the same time he might too.

they are gorgeous

It's a good idea 2 years ago

Yeah there are times when you’ll be alone and it’s hard to get by when they’re stationed on the other side of the world (that’s where my Marine is now), but the times when he’s with you… Nothing can describe that. It’s the best feeling in the world _

Seriously, my first boyfriend was/still is a Marine. (I’ve been steady with the same guy for eight months—and counting!) _ Yes, he’s quite the sweetheart, and actually I knew him before he was a Marine. But… yeah, a Marine will always be there for you, with an undying dedication that’s mostly reserved for his beloved Corps.

My boyfriend, whom all my friends know as “Mr. Marine,” is the best person I know! He’s outstanding at everything he does, an absolute honey, and his sexy body just adds icing to the cake. :-) Mr. Marine has the best personality of everyone in my life, and I just love him to death!

I’m praying for the day he asks me to marry him… ~<3 But, I'm also waiting to ask him to the prom! XDD (I wanna see him in his dress blues!)

So yeah the short of this: Date a Marine—you’ll love him more than you’d think.

If you mean US Marine 2 years ago

mmmmm, they are ALL dashing in their Dress Blues… and so rugged and handsome in their BDUs. I liked dating mine so much that I Married The Corps and kept him.
