the way we can visualise something and the universe will provide – but never quite the way you imagined. I do have a band with enough original material to do gigs – but none of it is mine! All year I’ve upheld this dream and pushed myself to keep writing, keep playing, do the odd gig… and then without even trying I realise I’m now in the band I wanted, only instead of being the singer/songwriter/guitarist/leader, I’m the bass player/backing vocalist! And I prefer it! I’m really not that comfortable as the front person, but I love, LOVE backing up someone that is confident and talented. I even don’t mind chasing up gigs for that band because I don’t feel as though I have to self-promote. My original goal was to get a gig at the Mullum music fest this year (in 2 weeks) and next weekend we are entering a competition to try and win a spot playing there! I had forgotten about that part of the goal, in fact, I think I gave up on it. Here it pops up again. Life is funny. Hahahahahahahaha 6 months ago
