Tarrador is handing out gold stars left and right!
I was living in Florida when the Centennial Olympics came to Atlanta. I had to travel for my job and I was fortunate enough to go through Atlanta during the games. Of course all the big events were sold out, but I got tickets to Women’s Beach Volleyball. It was the first time this was being included as a medal sport in the Olympics. My ex-wife was living in Atl. at the time, so I picked her up and we visited the newly created Centennial Park, then caught a bus out to the volleyball matches. We spend the afternoon cheering and chanting “USA, USA!” and waving our little .99 flags. I got a hat, shirt, coffee mug and photo to immortalize the day. We debated attending the free concert in Centennial Park that night, but I had to get back to Florida because of my job. I drove through the night and about 2 am they broke in on the radio saying someone had set a bomb off at Centennial Park, and someone had been killed.
