Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Find a haircut I love...and get it!

KelseySimilar to what I had in early high school...

...and I don’t know why I ever wanted to grow it out! It’s a bit longer than the pics I posted before, but I may end up going shorter eventually. I went to a REAL salon for the big chop (right now I’ve got two braids in a bag, ready to be sent to Locks of Love), but I’ll probably maintain it at a cheaper place. If they mess it up, I wouldn’t mind buzzing it… 23 months ago

KelseyI don't know

how to post more than one pic at a time (from my own computer) so here’s my long hair! It doesn’t usually have those lovely waves at the bottom, that’s from being glued/pinned up in a bun all day.

Here’s another of Emma’s looks I love, but I just don’t know if I have the face shape to go that short.

Suggestions, anyone? 2 years ago

KelseyI've been growing my hair out

since the November before last, and it’s gotten long again—to my shoulder blades. But I miss the convenience of short hair, and the breeze on my neck. It would be nice to not have sweaty hair sticking to it when I head to college in Houston, though the haircuts could get expensive.

I’ll post a couple of pics…the hair I’ve got now, and a look I love (and my long-haired imitation of it).

I LOVE Emma Watson and nearly everything she does with her hair (the pic at top is my MacGyvered version using two hair ties and rather a lot of hair spray/gel):
