    Awesome! 3 years ago

As someone who has about 4 projects sitting around on various needles, and never keeps up with the Olympics, this killed two birds with one stone. I finished a purse (learning new skills such as knitting in the round, making stripes, and binding off in I-Cord) in record time, and kept up with scores, medals, and opening and closing ceremonies!

I started a new sweater with my new yarn 3 years ago

I messed up the pattern twice and started over twice. Right now it’s about an inch of ribbing. I will continue to work on it.

I didn’t know when the closing ceremony was, and when I looked it up, I didn’t translate it into local time. Still, I managed to finish up my sweater in time to wear it to dinner. I need to weave in a few ends, but I’m done.

I’m not certain if I actually should count myself a medalist, but at least I got my sweater re-done. I’m pretty happy with it overall. It’s soft and cosy.

    jenni is awesome.

    WOOOHOOOO! 3 years ago

    I’m done! I’m donedonedone!

It’s blocking right now, and I have to put the edging on it tomorrow, but I’m DONE!

The last time I did a koigu shawl, it took me six weeks +. Sixteen days, baybee! WOOOHOOOO!

Ahem. I’m a little excited. Pics when it’s dry.

closing in on the finish line 3 years ago

I’m three rows from the end of the pattern. I’m probably going to add in one more pattern repeat to bring the top color back down to the bottom, too, but then…it’s DONE. (It’s also 320+ stitches per row, so it’s a big’un.)

    Pictures when it’s done.

I’m going to be soooo glad when it’s laid out and blocking….

still plugging away... 3 years ago

Even with work going haywire, I finished off my first sleeve and attached it yesterday afternoon. I was able to knit most of it on a weekend, so there is still hope for me… The sweater sleeve is a little wonky still, but it’s completely wearable, and I don’t want to mess around with the armscye.
