write a book for my kids, with the story of my family

I guess I need to decide what this “story of my family” is: Is it just about how E. (my wife) and I met? And M. (our son’s) life since birth? Is it the story of our parents up through us? Our grandparents on each side up through us? I’ll need to talk with E. and see what the scope of this should be.

Another possibility:
Perhaps rather than writing it, I’ll write PART of it (just the story of how my wife and I met and married..) and assign writing the REST of it as a future homeschool project for my son M. to work on?
