chriscalderon TRYING TO STAY AWAKE
Well things are going in the write directions, and without me saying anything he made a remark about doing a monetary review hence my 3 month period is on the dot.
P.s
Hope is a good monetary review :>
How I did it: I waited until I had gained enough responsibilities and shown that I could handle them all, and then I wrote an e-mail telling my boss I would like to talk with him about a raise when it was a good time for him. So, we talked about it over lunch one day. I aimed high, asked for more than I thought I'd actually get, and still got a pretty decent raise. Read how I did it…

chriscalderon TRYING TO STAY AWAKE
its been almost three months now that i started with the company, i just don’t know when is the correct moment to ask for a raise ;(
Skoolie is relaxing
I was promised one by “early 2009” Isn’t Early 2009 over with now.
My boss delays and delays and delays, but we finally had that “employee review” I was waiting for. I wanted a $2/hr raise, asked for $3, and got $1.50. Not bad. It could definitely be worse. It took three and a half months from when I first asked.
I’m pretty proud of myself for asking for the raise, and for taking on more responsibility to get it. Unfortunately, with the new health benefits, (which will cost me $100/month), I won’t actually be taking home that much more per month. But at least now I can go to the dentist if I want to. Maybe I should make that one of my goals…
I’ve been told we are on a pay freze until June and the busy season. I know I deserve this it’s now just a matter of waiting it all out. I need to do something to boost my selfesteem. I belive This will and motivate me to maybe do some of the other things on this list
Ok, so I have been given more responsibility at work, but my boss says we’ll see in a month or two how well I’m doing, and then have a review, at which we’ll talk money. So no raise quite yet, but it’s likely in the next few months.
I asked my boss yesterday when my 90-day review will be… since it’s over a month past due. I made a decision that if I don’t get a raise I am going to get another job because I know that I am worth more than what I make.
My husband is changing career paths, and he’s the big money earner in our home, so if he isn’t earning much for a while, we’ll be pretty screwed if I don’t start earning more! I’m going to ask for more responsibility and more money when my boss gets back from a trip next week. Wish me luck!
Lindsey is changing the world.
It’s very easy to be materialistic.
Alas, I’m terrible at sticking up for myself. It’s starting to affect my work environment, and I feel like a raise is something I have earned through my personal work ethic. This goal is about that.
