How I did it: As a consequence of trading in airline miles that were about to expire and a brief addiction to fitness magazines, I was acquiring more magazines than I could read.  I gathered them so I could grab one when I went to the gym.  But I don't like to read dated material and most of the articles were redundant.  I eventually realized the amount of information I was gaining from the magazines was disproportionate to the amount of guilt I was enduring.  Therefore I gave myself a pass and took the whole lot to the recycle center.  It is one thing to have wasted money but it would be continued foolishness to waste time too.
