Well, since no houses are selling in the neighborhood, there is no chance our house will appraise for anything worthwhile. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t make some changes. HEre are 10 things I’d like to do this year:
1. Paint our shutters and buy new porch lamps.
2. New light fixture over our island.
3. Re-paint the 1/2 bath.
4. New ceiling fan in the kitchen, the first room, and the bedroom.
5. New carpet.
6. Hard woods in the first room.
7. New pendant lamp in entryway.
8. New kitchen sink.
9. Sand and re-paint doorways (cat scratch fever).
10. Re-stain the fireplace.

First this is first. We must re-finance our house. This will help us to get out of debt and to use the income going toward credit cards to make some home improvements. I want to go through the house and write down every single minor and major improvement and slowly whittle away at the list.
