that is hello to you all in Fijian. when i was in the 8th grade my father bought our family’s first computer. the computer came with an atlas program that had facts and photos from almost every country. it was my favorite thing for months. i became complete enamored with the south pacific, Fiji in particular. did you know the have no concept of time. in the ‘A’ type personality world that i live in, no concept of time is just what i need. that and the jellyfish pool.

As part of another goal, we got married in Fiji last week, and it was unreal, an amazing fairy tale! Spend a week at Malolo Island, and it was simply perfect, sitting out in the hammock looking at the ocean, and just resting! Really loved it!
My hubby and I went last year and we are already planning another trip back…only this time longer. We cruized the Yasawa Islands and stayed on Matamanoa. It was beautiful, food was great, and the people were very nice. Strongly suggest going before the reefs are gone.
I did a dive on a small island that I would recommend, Mana Island. A great group of Fijian guys took us out to some beautiful pristine reefs. I did my first shark dive out there (mostly friendly sharks). I would highly recommend staying at one of the islands.
i went when i was young because my parents were born there. the place is absolutely amazing but it’s been a really long time. I’d like to go again soon.
I lived in Fiji for 3 years, working for the University of the South Pacific. You can see loads of photos here: http://www.grographics.com/fiji
Fiji is a beautiful country with amazing peoople. Although originally from the Northwest (Seattle), my family and I have lived in Fiji for the past three years. Come on over…
I went to the village Nasivikoso (about a three-hour truck ride away from the nearest city, Nadi) to do some community service work in 2001, and it was amazing: stunning scenery, friendly villagers, and experiences-like swimming under massive waterfalls or foraging for starfruits-that you can’t get anywhere else. The shopping in Nadi is pretty great, too. If you get a chance to go, definitely take it!
