Cusco, Peru.

I lived in Cusco for about two months for a study abroad trip, if that counts. I loved the people, and there were llamas everywhere! I lived with my host family near the San Blas art district, and the shops and streets were so beautiful.
I do admit that I was stuck in the touristy areas, which let me down a little bit. I’m more of a traveler, not a tourist, but it just wasn’t safe for me to walk around by myself outside the tourist areas. Plus, I had to stay under the supervision of our study group leader.
Thanks to my host family, I did get to see a little bit of the more indigenous Peru. I went to a local market, somehow learned some Quechua from an old woman, and I visited and volunteered in the surrounding towns, which have almost no tourists.
And of course I visited Machu Picchu. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in my life.

I’m currently exploring job opportunities… Might be onto something. Don’t wanna say too much. But I’m so excited I can’t sleep at night. Un beso.

...To leave in October. Yes in 9 months. Would very much like to leave sooner though. I’ve applied for a job over there, so if that turns out positive, we might be going very soon. Fingers crossed!!

I was raised in Peru. A beautiful country full of fun things and culture. However…I wouldn’t reconmmend living there now since the economy is totally crashing. x_X The new president isn’t gonna make things better either…
I just wanna go back to visit all of my fam and friends. ^^

I first have to finish my 2 year contract here, still 1 year 5 months to go. I had contacted one Peru branch of a large multinational company before I got this job and they liked me so I can contact them in a year and a half. But it would be more convenent if my present company transferred me for a year or two.
