when I get off work at 11pm and stop by the liquor store on the way home and buy a six pack, and then stay up until 3am drinking beer and smoking cigarettes, it’s really hard to get up early in the morning and do yoga and change the cat box.
But I would call the snowmobile season officially over, so I’m not nearly so stressed out. When I got home last night I wound up going to bed around 11:30pm.
this morning, first two things I did when I got out of bed was, 1. make the bed, 2. empty the catbox (goal #3). Then I washed my hands.
I have the very beginning of a routine going on. Feels a little bit good.
I tend to get down on myself because there are things I ought to get done during the day that I don’t. If I could get more of that stuff done early in the morning, I think I’d be more motivated to do other stuff, without feeling guilty about chores I haven’t gotten done.
Getting out of bed right away isn’t a problem. It’s the getting out of bed, making coffee, lighting a cigarette and turning on the tv, that’s the problem.
