Whistling 9 months ago

I can’t do it. I can whistle one wavery note on a good day. On a bad day, it’s a steady stream of cool air. So I now take Andrew Bird as my example and will continue to try until the day I die.

I’m obviously not as good as the man himself, Andre Bird, but I’d say I whistle much better than average these days. Better than my friends atleast.

One day... 2 years ago

I can only hope to be able to do this. I am actually not a (completely) terrible whistler now, but there is no way I could ever compare to Andrew Bird…not even a drop.

I also wish I could be as multitalented as he is. Nevermind…I think he might just be my ideal man.

I will never be able to do this. Ever.

We all live in a capital I
In the middle of the desert
In the center of the sky.

All day long we polish up the I
To make it clean and shiny
So it brightens up the sky.
Rubbing it here
And scrubbing it there.
Polishing the I
So high in the air.

And as we work we sing a lively tune
“It is great to be so happy on a busy afternoon.”
And when we’re through with the day’s only chore,
We go into the I
And we close the door.

- Sesame Street/Childrens Television Workshop Song from the mid 70’s

He points to the south, then to the east. A cake of new, clean soap arises, diffusing light and perfume.
THE SOAP:
We’re a capital couple, Bloom and I;
He brightens the earth, I polish the sky
